Hammock Bipod Stand
This is Scott’s Hammock Bipod Stand prototype. Designed primarily for using your hammock with just one tree, in your garden or other places etc. Scott plans to cut the thickness and wait of the current system down to half what it is currently. The Bipod system can be pegged down to the ground ie. not using a second tree like in this video. You will need heavy-duty pegs but it can be done. We’ll no doubt try a couple more configurations in the future see if we can get one either end. www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk

That’s a good idea.
Pablo.
what gives me a idea
If there are so many trees around, why don’t you just tie it to another tree which is nearer instead of carrying round some dodgy bits of wood.
Well the point is; we don’t always stick to the same wood and we were trying to make our hammocks a more versatile tool for different areas. Secondly they’re not ‘dodgy bits of wood’
This day we were purely testing this rig, not relying on it. Thats why we were doing it in a wood with many trees, its wise to test something like this before you need to rely on it.
Did you know that you can do the same thing with ONE piece of wood? It sounds crazy, but it works. I’ll try to get a video up soon to show you.
Thanks! I’ll look forward to seeing it.
Does my video make sense?
